ARBETSUPPGIFTER
Du är myndighetens skolchef enligt skollagen där du har ansvar för att driva och utveckla verksamheten inom specialskolan. Som chef för verksamhetsområde Specialskola har du det yttersta ansvaret och är chef för alla rektorer och andra enhetschefer inom verksamhetsområdet, totalt 12 personer i nuläget. Totalt har verksamhetsområde Specialskola drygt 700 medarbetare. I tjänsten ingår även att tillsammans med dina chefer och medarbetare, samt i samverkan med arbetstagarorganisationer, nå verksamhetsområdets långsiktiga mål enligt verksamhetsplan. Du ingår i Specialpedagogiska skolmyndighetens ledningsgrupp.

Även om de flesta möten sker digitalt så kan tjänsten innebära resor.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Vi söker dig som har
- examen från högskola eller universitet inom ett område som är relevant för Specialpedagogiska skolmyndigheten.
- dokumenterad chefserfarenhet i komplexa organisationer som bygger på expertkompetens.
- dokumenterad erfarenhet av att leda verksamhet genom andra underställda chefer.
- dokumenterad erfarenhet av arbete i ledningsgrupp.

Det är meriterande om du har dokumenterad erfarenhet av att vara chef inom skol- eller utbildningsverksamhet, gärna inom offentlig förvaltning eller statlig sektor.
Vi ser gärna att du har erfarenhet av att leda på distans.
Det är värdefullt om du har kunskap i, eller vilja att lära dig, svenskt teckenspråk.

Som person är du strategisk, uthållig och trivs med att ytterst driva en verksamhet som är i ständig utveckling . Om rollen
Vi söker en engagerad ledare som vill ta ett övergripande ansvar för folkbildningen i vår region. Till din hjälp har du 12 kompetenta verksamhetsutvecklare som ansvarar för sina respektive specialområden. Din uppgift blir att leda, skapa entusiasm och ett samarbetsinriktat klimat genom öppenhet och transparens.
Ditt ansvar omfattar även att säkerställa att de definierade verksamhetsmålen uppfylls och att processer och rutiner implementeras samt arbetssätt optimeras. Du driver förändrings- och förbättringsarbete med hänsyn till både ekonomi och folkbildningens själ och har budget-, personal- och arbetsmiljöansvar.
Som ambassadör för Medborgarskolan deltar du i relevanta nätverk och sammanhang där du marknadsför Medborgarskolans verksamhet och stolt berättar om hur vi möter efterfrågan och bidrar till samhällsbygget Sverige.
Du ingår i region Värmland Örebros ledningsgrupp och rapporterar till regionchefen. Din tid spenderas jämnt mellan kontoren i Karlstad och Örebro och du väljer själv placeringstillhörighet.
Vår kandidat
För att lyckas i rollen bör du ha en adekvat akademisk utbildning samt några års erfarenhet som ledare, gärna från utbildnings-, fortbildning- eller tjänstesektorn. Folkbildningskunskap/-erfarenhet ser vi som meriterande. Du har också erfarenhet av att driva förändringsarbete och har goda kunskaper inom ekonomistyrning. Kopplingar till politik och myndigheter såsom kommuner och regioner är önskvärda. Vana och kunskap om upphandling inom offentlig sektor ser vi som meriterande.
Som person har du en affärsmässig, entrepreniöriell approach som med mod och stort hjärta driver verksamheten mot uppställda mål. Du är en tillgänglig ledare vars ledarstil präglas av ett coachande, prestigelöst förhållningssätt. Dessutom har du en god kommunikativ förmåga i tal och skrift och har lätt för att bygga och upprätthålla såväl interna som externa relationer.

Job description
The role is a combination of operational and strategic challenges with strong focus on leadership and includes cost and revenue responsibility for your organization. The Mission of Epiroc University is to develop and design learning activities in close collaboration with course owners from the business responsible of the content, in line with business needs. The pedagogical approach is one important step in the design so the target group effectively can utilize the training. Requirements

Experience in project management and negotiations with suppliers is a requirement. We place great emphasis on knowledge in online training and pedagogy as well as deep interest in how digitalization can continue to develop our business. Very good knowledge of English both in speech and writing is a requirement, Swedish is plus.

This will be done in close collaboration with Epiroc University.
