Modelling & Simulation engineer to LHD application at Epiroc

Your mission
Your overall assignment as a developer in Modeling and Simulation within the LHD Application group is to drive our simulation work forward based on the roadmap to be defined together with our stakeholders. You will work on developing machine models for different products, as well as to simulate different scenarios based on the customer requests we receive. Part of your mission is to develop the way of working with simulation so that it becomes a natural part of our development work, where we use the strengths to streamline our functional development. Another important task is to lead the evaluation of which tool best meets our requirements in order to fulfill our thoughts and ideas around modeling and simulation. In your role you will work close with all developers and specialists within the group, but also be a driving force towards our stakeholders to take simulation to the next level. 
Your profile
You hold a Master of Science in relevant area or have similar experience. To succeed in this position you have experience in Matlab/Simulink, are curious and interested in software development for machine control of manually operated and autonomous products. You are passionate about creating high quality solutions, have an interest in big yellow machines and like to work in an international environment with close contacts with end customers. We see it as meritorious if you have experience from modelling and simulations, knowledge in software development, knowledge about our automation system or similar system. Experience of C++, Linux, Jira, Git and/or Bitbucket is also meritorious.

Lyfta kvalitetsmedvetenheten inom URE Borrmaskin genom att driva kvalitetsutredningar och utveckla de redan befintliga kvalitetsprocesserna. I denna mission ingår även att vara mottagare i de kvalitetsbrister som upptäcks i våra produktbolag.

Jobbeskrivning:
I rollen som kvalitetsingenjör kommer du att driva kvalitetsutredningar på uppdrag av produktionsledningen inom Rock Drill Product Line som rör kvalitetsbrister och reklamationer. Dessa uppdrag drivs som regel i tvärfunktionella grupper med medlemmar från olika funktioner inom produktionen och grundmetodiken är PDCA.

Vi ser också att det i ditt uppdrag och ingår kvalitetssäkring av våra leverantörer och följa upp pågående ärenden men också medverka till att implementera och genomföra förbättringsprogram med leverantör. Del av kvalitetssäkringen är utfallsprovprocessen som du kommer att ha en aktiv roll i.

Du kommer vara mottagare av de reklamationer som kommer intern till Rock Drill Product Line från övriga produktbolag samt de garantiärenden som kommer från fält som rör produktionen. Detta innefattar att driva utredning för att avgöra vad som är orsaken till reklamationen, skicka ersättningsartiklar vid samt förmedla avvikelser till funktionen där avvikelsen uppträtt, där också den långsiktiga lösningen genomförs via förbättringsarbete.
Utöver ovan arbetsuppgifter kommer du även att via olika förbättringsforum driva processförbättringar inom kvalitetsområdet.

Erfarenhet:
För att lyckas i rollen ser vi att du har goda kunskaper inom kvalitetsarbete.
Du har erfarenhet av att självständigt kunna drivit projekt och utredningar och meriterande om du har tidigare erfarenhet av audit verksamhet samt haft personalledande roll alternativt erfarenhet av projektledning.
Utöver ovan ser vi att du har kunskap om Lean och/eller 6 Sigma samt inom SQA/SQE funktioner.

Your mission in the role of Regional Inventory Optimization Expert is to optimize the stockholding of parts in your assigned region, to reach our parts availability and inventory targets. You will work on a strategic and tactical level, with emphasis on connecting our stocking strategy with the machine fleet in the region. You will decide which assortment is to be stocked at the different warehouses in the supply chain, in close collaboration with the Regional Supply Chain and Customer Center organizations.

Job description
* You will analyze and propose inventory and availability targets for CCs and DCs in the region, in collaboration with Regional supply chain organizations and Customer Centers.
* You are responsible for inventory, availability and obsolescence performance follow-up in the region and also to coordinate the inventory & availability action plans for the region. You analyze and act proactively on excess and slow moving inventory to reduce obsolescence costs.
* Decide, maintain and optimize the stocking assortment for the region, according to the global process, to find an optimum balance between parts availability and cost of carrying inventory. This will be done in collaboration with Customer Centers and the Regional Supply Chain organization of the region.
* Decide on assortment allocation within the region: which parts at Local DCs, which parts at Global/Regional DCs.
* Analysis and implementation of Stocking policy adjustments.
* Coordination and implementation of stocking requests for the region, including initial/critical stock.
* Replenishment Policy approvals of changes in stocking status.
* As a super user in the global inventory management system you manage the parameter settings for the region.
* You participate in projects to implement new processes and systems functionalities and also in inventory management activities related to company integrations, divestments and move of assortments.
* Contribute to the supply chain competence development throughout our organization.
* Cross functional interaction to secure we work together to improve our service.

Education and experience
* Experience in end-to-end supply chain management involving distribution, inventory management, and project management.
* Good knowledge of inventory management.
* Background in spare parts management at Epiroc or equivalent industries
* Experience of project management and implementing changes in a global organization
* Strong English communication skills both verbal and written. Additional language will be preferred.
* University degree in Economics/Business Administration, Supply chain/Logistics, Marketing or Engineering, or equivalent experience required.

Your mission is to secure that the products and their different configurations fulfill all technical and legal specifications and that the products are competitive during the entire life cycle. This is a wide and outreached position including many internal cross functional contacts but also externally with sales companies, customers, other Epiroc sites around the world, suppliers etc.

Experience and Knowledge
To succeed in this role you need at least 5 years of experience from technical product development towards automation of products. A wide knowledge of different technical areas such as software development, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic is meriting.
You shall have a general knowledge and skills in project / product management. Very good knowledge of English is required since English is our corporate language and used, both in speech and in writing.

Arbetsbeskrivning

Som Valideringsingenjör kommer du att genomföra en rad validerings och verifikationsaktiviteter inom ramen för CPI projekt för att säkerställa så att PLM Solutions levererar system av högsta kvalitet när det når produktionsmiljön och våra kunder. I denna roll ingår det även att koordinera, planera och genomföra olika typer av validering och verifieringsprocesser i direkt samarbete med PLM användarna samt förbereda och dokumentera valideringsprotokoll.
Att ge den tekniska support som ledningen efterfrågar samt att ansvara för att detaljera företagets krav på CPI lösningar tillsammans med interna kundrepresentanter och med stöttning av PLM Product Managers är också en stor del av rollen. Du kommer att få engagera dig i hela CPI flödet samt behöva assistera under applikationstestning i syftet att kontrollera system före validering. Du säkerställer även så att eventuella kvalitetsproblem tas upp och löses innan produkten släpps.

Job Description and target
We are looking for a Category Manager (Strategisk Inköpare) to our Strategic Sourcing department in Örebro.
The job as Category Manager includes the overall responsibility within different category areas, including suppliers to both Surface Drilling and Exploration products. You will work in close cooperation with a Supplier Development Engineer within your category area/s to secure the long term performance; total cost, service, flexibility and SHEQ. You are as Category Manager responsible for negotiating the overall terms and conditions with the supplier and to secure that the supplier fulfils all Epiroc requirements.
You need to have a great interest in working with Supplier Management including for example Risk management. You must have a good ability to build long-term relations and understand the communication needs between Epiroc and the suppliers.

Target:
This project is intended to investigate, simulate and test a subsystem of a rock drill. The subsystem is a part of the rock drill and can for example be the rotation system, damper system, extractor system, percussion system or similar. The goal is to understand how it is working today from a physical/mechanic point of view and compare it to another technical approach.

Background:
To drill holes in rock (Æ 20-200mm), a percussive rock drill is commonly used. In a rock drill, a percussive piston is used to repeatedly hit the drill string. The kinematic energy is transformed to elastic energy, as a stress wave which propagates through the drill string towards the drill bit, where it is used to crush the rock. By rotating the drill bit, the tool with inserted tungsten carbide buttons will crush the rock in a new position for each piston stroke.

Mission:
Your mission in this project will be to simulate, evaluate and possibly test a chosen system with an alternative power source and compare it to an existing system intended to have the same function. This project will be considered a success when there is knowledge, simulation models and laboratory tests enough to compare the dynamic behavior of the two systems

Qualification:
To be successful with this project you should be at the end of your engineering studies and your main topic should be hydraulics, mechatronics, mechanics and/or electronics. You preferably are an analytical person and like to work with the behaviour of dynamic systems
